Queen’s Park: Ministers’ Schedules and Events 

  • 9:00 a.m. – Toronto: Indira Naidoo-Harris, Minister Responsible for Early Years and Child Care, will make an announcement.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Toronto: CUPE Ontario president Fred Hahn and Goldblatt Partners lawyer Steven Shrybman outline the details of further legal action over the sale of Hydro One. Media Studio, Queen’s Park.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Toronto:  MPP, Michael Harris will discuss penalties and prohibitions he is urging the government to implement through the Illegal Pill Press Act. Media Studio, Queen’s Park.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Toronto: Pow Wow at Queen’s Park will call for Indigenous Day statutory holiday on June 21. South Lawn, Queen’s Park.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Toronto: Protecting Firefighters and Firefighter Trainees. Media Studio, Queen’s Park.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Toronto: Eleanor McMahon, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport will welcome Team Canada competitors, coaches and support staff to Ontario for the 2017 Invictus Games.  Minister McMahon will be joined by VIA Rail President Yves Desjardins-Siciliano and the Team Canada co-captains Major Simon Mailloux (currently serving with the Canadian Army) and Retired Master Corporal Natacha Dupuis.

  • Resuming the debate adjourned on September 14, 2017 on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 139, An Act to enact the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Act, 2017 and the Local Planning Appeal Support Centre Act, 2017 and to amend the Planning Act, the Conservation Authorities Act and various other Acts.   • Resuming the debate adjourned on September 20, 2017 on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 152, An Act to amend the Representation Act, 2015 and certain other Acts.

 Private Members Business

  • Second Reading of Bill 146, An Act to amend the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 to provide transparency in gas pricing. Mr. McNaughton.

Private Members Motion

  • Ms. French – That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario should immediately and fully adopt the recommendations of the jury in the coroner’s inquest into the deaths of Adam Brunt and Gary Kendall, to help better ensure the safety of Ontario firefighters and firefighter trainees.

Queen’s Park: Committees 

  • 2:00 p.m. – The Standing Committee on Justice Policy will meet for the purpose of organization.
