Events

  • 9:00 a.m. (ET) – The Minister of Transport, Omar Alghabra, will announce funding for Trucking HR Canada under the Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program. This funding will address labour shortages in the trucking industry.
  • 10:00 a.m. (AT) – A public transit infrastructure announcement with the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and Member of Parliament for Central Nova, Mike Kelloway, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard and Member of Parliament for Cape Breton–Canso, the Honourable Michelle Thompson, Minister of Health and Wellness and Member of the Legislative Assembly for Antigonish, and Anita Stewart, Chairperson of the Antigonish Community Transit Society.
  • 10:00 a.m. (ET) – The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, will announce funding as part of the Mindful Campus Initiative to enhance mental health in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery.
  • 11:00 a.m. (ET) – The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), will make an important announcement in support of young Black entrepreneurs in Scarborough. The Minister will be joined by Gary Anandasangaree, Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Rouge Park.
  • 12:00 p.m. (ET) – The Honourable Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, will be at le Centre d’éducation des adultes in New Liskeard on Tuesday, February 21, to highlight how FedNor is supporting Francophone small and medium-sized businesses to scale up and create jobs in the Timiskaming district. René Gaudreau, Service Director – Communication and Technology Management, Peggy Morin, Coordinator, Adult Education Center and Jacinthe Rivard, Project Manager, will also participate in the event.
  • 1:00 p.m. (ET) – The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Member of Parliament for Gaspésie–Les Îles‑de-la‑Madeleine and Minister of National Revenue, will announce Government of Canada funding for Chic‑Chac, a Gaspésie tourism business. Specializing in adventure tourism, Chic‑Chac provides accommodation and food services, as well as a variety of seasonal tourism activities.
