Parliament Hill Calendar: Ministers’ Schedules and Events

  • 9:00 a.m. – South Sudan: The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, will hold a media teleconference from South Sudan, to discuss her trip, new funding announcements, as well as the severe famine affecting the country.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Toronto, ON: The Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister of Status of Women, will unveil Canada’s strategy to prevent and address gender-based violence. The strategy represents a pivotal step forward in helping women, girls, and other vulnerable individuals lead lives free of violence.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Toronto, ON: The Honourable Jane Philpott, Federal Minister of Health, will provide remarks at the 31st International Confederation of Midwives Triennial Congress, which will bring together 4,000 midwives from 114 countries.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Prime Minister will deliver an address at the University of Ottawa convocation.
  • 9:40 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: David Lametti, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will announce funding, through Sustainable Development Technology Canada, for clean technology projects that will benefit Canada’s environment and support middle-class jobs.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Prime Minister will attend the Governor General’s Presentation of Canadian Honours in recognition of Outstanding Indigenous Leadership.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Prime Minister will attend Question Period.
  • 3:45 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The President of the Treasury Board, the Honourable Scott Brison, accompanied by the Minister of Democratic Institutions, the Honourable Karina Gould, and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, will make an important announcement about Access to Information. The Ministers will be available for questions from media immediately following the announcement.
