Parliament Hill Calendar: Ministers’ Schedules and Events

  • 10:00 a.m. – Salisbury, NB: Alaina Lockhart, Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and the Honourable Roger Melanson, President of Treasury Board and Minister responsible for Trade Policy, will make a funding announcement for Petz International Ltd.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Regina, SK: Terry Duguid, Parliamentary Secretary for Status of Women Canada, will make an important announcement in support of a vibrant gender equality movement across Canada.
  • 10:15 a.m. – Hearst, ON: David Lametti, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will make an important announcement about funding from FedNor, the Government of Canada’s economic development organization for Northern Ontario. The announcement is in support of francophone entrepreneurs to create jobs, boost economic activity and promote the vitality of official language minority communities.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Port Union, NL: The Honourable Judy Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Member of Parliament for Bonavista–Burin–Trinity, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will attend three events to announce funding for projects that support tourism and business growth on the Bonavista Peninsula. Minister Foote will be joined by the Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, provincial Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation and Neil King, MHA for Bonavista.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Gaspé, QC: The Prime Minister will visit Forillon National Park.
  • 11:40 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: Minister of Finance Bill Morneau will hold a press conference regarding the next steps of the Government’s plan to improve fairness for Canada’s middle class. Prior to the announcement, Department of Finance officials will hold a technical briefing.
  • 12:15 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, and Grand Chief Dr. Matthew Coon Come of the Grand Council of the Crees (Eeyou Istchee) / Cree Nation Government, will sign the Cree Nation Governance Agreement, a Nation to Nation agreement between Canada and the Cree Nation that advances Canada’s commitment toward a renewed relationship with Indigenous peoples based on recognition of rights, respect and partnership.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Elliston, NL: The Honourable Judy Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Member of Parliament for Bonavista–Burin–Trinity, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will attend three events to announce funding for projects that support tourism and business growth on the Bonavista Peninsula.   • 1:20 p.m. – Percé, QC: The Prime Minister will visit the town of Percé.
  • 1:30 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of  Environment and Climate Change, and the Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board, on behalf of the Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, will announce investments towards innovative technologies that will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the National Capital Region.
  • 4:00 p.m. – Mont-Joli, QC: The Prime Minister will visit the Mont-Joli Municipal Day Camp to highlight the Canada Child Benefit.
  • 4:00 p.m. – Bonavista, NL: The Honourable Judy Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Member of Parliament for Bonavista–Burin–Trinity, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will attend three events to announce funding for projects that support tourism and business growth on the Bonavista Peninsula.
