Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 8:30 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, makes a funding announcement to combat child sexual exploitation on the Internet.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Montreal, QC: In support of PaperWeek, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, will deliver a keynote speech at the BIOFOR conference — an annual event that supports the pulp and paper industry in Canada.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, along with the Honourable Pauline Frost, Yukon Minister of Health and Social Services, will announce the bilateral Canada and Yukon Early Learning and Child Care agreement.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board; and the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Minister responsible for Shared Services Canada, will participate in the Government of Canada Cloud First Day to announce the adoption of public cloud computing services.
  • 12:15 p.m. – Mont-Joli, QC: The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will make an announcement related the Fisheries Act.
  • 12:15 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Lawrence MacAulay, will deliver remarks at the Dairy Farmers of Canada Annual Policy Conference. 

Prime Minister’s Itinerary

  • 9:00 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Prime Minister will attend the National Caucus meeting.
  • 2:15 p.m. – Chicago, Illinois – The Prime Minister will meet with the Governor of Illinois, Bruce Rauner.
  • 2:50 p.m. – Chicago, Illinois – The Prime Minister will meet with the Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel.
  • 4:30 p.m. – Chicago, Illinois – The Prime Minister will deliver an address at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics. An armchair discussion with David Axelrod will follow.
