Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 9:00 a.m. – Kamloops, BC: The Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board and Minister of Digital Government, will be at Thompson Rivers University on August 20, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, to celebrate the completion of an infrastructure project supported through the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Escuminac, BC: The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, will make an important announcement about new supports to address the challenges faced by seasonal workers.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will visit the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society – Welcome Gardens and make an announcement.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will visit the Oaklands Community Centre and will highlight improvements that enhance the Canada Child Benefit.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Kamloops, BC: The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, will be at the BIG Little Science Centre to announce local recipients of funding through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s PromoScience Program. 
  • 11:00 a.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will visit the Victoria West Lawn Bowling Club.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Vancouver, BC: The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will visit the South Hill Neighbourhood Centre.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Ty-Histanis, BC: The Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, Catherine McKenna, will make an announcement regarding the completion of an infrastructure investment project in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will visit the Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Nanaimo, BC: The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will be available to take questions from the media following a roundtable discussion on digital and data transformation.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Richmond, BC: The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, will visit Sable Shortbread to make announcement on behalf of the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour.
  • 1:45 p.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will visit the Central Saanich Senior Citizens Association.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will tour Camosun College.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Surrey, BC: The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will visit the Fleetwood Public Library.
  • 3:15 p.m. – Vernon, BC: The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, will be at the Okanagan Science Centre to announce local recipients of funding through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s PromoScience Program. 
  • 3:30 p.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will visit the Cowichan Community Policing Advisory Committee Society
  • 4:00 p.m. – Burnaby, BC: The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will visit the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre.
  • 4:15 p.m. – Victoria, BC: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will visit the Cowichan Green Community Society.

Prime Minister’s Itinerary

  • 10:00 a.m. – Navan, ON: The Prime Minister will deliver remarks at the official groundbreaking event for the new Amazon fulfillment centre.
