Jeff Bangs, Partner – Jeff specializes in public sector decision making, campaign management, public policy advocacy, public relations, stakeholder relations, and organizational change.
With over 30 years of experience in government and politics, Jeff brings to his clients a deep understanding of how the federal, provincial, and municipal governments work. He has served as the Principal Secretary to the Premier of Ontario, the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Finance and the Executive Director and Campaign Manager for the Ontario PC Party.
Jeff’s broad experience in government also includes time as the Chief of Staff to Ministers at the Ministry of Natural Resources; the Ministry of Northern Development & Mines; the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing; and the Ministry of Education. Jeff played an oversight and coordinating role in the introduction of Ontario’s Budget 2000, the first fully balanced budget the province had seen in a generation. He centrally managed a successful leadership selection process for the Ontario PC Party in 2002. He also wrote and advocated for the inclusion of the National Trails Coalition’s $25 million infrastructure proposal in Canada’s Economic Action Plan (Budget 2009).
Jeff recently completed a 10-year term as a member of CPA Ontario’s Public Accounting Licencing Board. He is a regular guest lecturer in the Seneca College post-graduate government relations certificate program. A notable recent accomplishment was his appointment by the Province in 2021 to the Board of Governors at Laurentian University where he became Chair and helped steer the public institution out of an unprecedented insolvency situation.
Jeff earned his Honours Bachelor of Public Administration from Carleton University.
