Queen’s Park: Ministers’ Schedules and Events 

  • 8:00 a.m. – Ottawa: Premier Kathleen Wynne to participate in a Council of the Federation Meeting.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Vaughan: John Fraser, Parliamentary Assistant to Dr. Eric Hoskins, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, will be joined by Steven Del Duca, Member of Provincial Parliament for Vaughan, to make an announcement.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Toronto: Marie-France Lalonde, Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services will be available to comment on the release of the final report by Howard Sapers, Independent Advisor on Corrections Reform.
  • 9:40 a.m. – Ottawa: Wynne to participate in a First Ministers’ Meeting
  •  10:00 a.m. – Ottawa: The Correctional Investigator of Canada, Dr. Ivan Zinger, and the Ontario Child Advocate, Irwin Elman, will release a joint report entitled Missed Opportunities: The Experience of Young Adults Incarcerated in Federal Penitentiaries.   • 10:00 a.m. – Toronto: Coalition of mental health service providers calls for implementation of Andrew Loku inquest recommendations. Media Studio, Queen’s Park.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Toronto: MPP Liberal Mike Colle to introduce private member’s bill allowing Ontarians to sell their life insurance policies.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Toronto: PC MPP Lisa MacLeod will hold a media availability with the family of the late Nick Cody prior to announcing legislation regarding the opioid crisis.

Queen’s Park: Bills 

Chamber Business starts at 9:00 a.m. today

  • Resuming the debate adjourned on October 2, 2017 on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 154, An Act to cut unnecessary red tape by enacting one new Act and making various amendments and repeals.
  • Resuming the debate adjourned on September 28, 2017 on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 142, An Act to amend the Construction Lien Act.

Queen’s Park: Committees 

  • 9:00 a.m. & 3:45 p.m. – The Standing Committee on Estimates will meet to review the 2017-2018 Estimates of the Treasury Board Secretariat
  • 4:00 p.m. – The Standing Committee on Social Policy will meet for the purpose of organization
  • 4:30 p.m. – The Standing Committee on Estimates will meet to review the 2017-2018 and will meet to review the 2017-2018 Estimates of the Ministry of Energy
