Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 8:30 a.m. – Gatineau, QC: The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, and the Legacy of Hope Foundation will host a healing ceremony and launch a new commemorative exhibition at the Canadian Museum of History on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Apology to former students of Indian Residential Schools.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Toronto, ON: The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, will announce the new Government of Canada measures to reduce homelessness. He will be joined by Adam Vaughan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development (Housing and Urban Affairs).
  • 6:00 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Jane Philpott, Minister of Indigenous Services, will speak at the Indigenous Youth in STEM event. Event celebrates work undertaken by Actua, Canada’s largest STEM outreach organization, to engage Indigenous youth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
