Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 9:30 a.m. – Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL: The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and Todd Russell, the President of the NunatuKavut Community Council will make an announcement on the way forward between the NunatuKavut community and the Government of Canada.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Wendake, QC: The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Member of Parliament for Québec and Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, will announce financial support for a tourism commercialization project by the Office du tourisme de Wendake, which will target international visitors.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Percé, QC: The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of National Revenue and Member of Parliament for Gaspésie–Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, on behalf of the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will be making an important announcement regarding the Percé Wharf.
  • 10:45 a.m. – Saskatoon, SK: Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister, Lawrence MacAulay, will be in Saskatchewan as part of the Growing Canadian Agriculture cross country tour to make an important announcement for the field crops industry. The Minister will also meet with farmers and agri-businesses to hear their ideas on how to capture growth opportunities for the agricultural sector.
  • 11:15 a.m. – Kedgwick, NB: René Arseneault, Member of Parliament for Madawaska-Restigouche, on behalf of the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will announce the re-opening of a Conservation and Protection office in northern New Brunswick.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Fogo Island, NL: Scott Simms, Member of Parliament for Coast of Bays–Central–Notre Dame, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will make a funding announcement related to a social enterprise on Fogo Island.  MP Simms will be joined by Derrick Bragg, MHA for Fogo Island–Cape Freels, on behalf of the Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Newfoundland and Labrador Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation.
  • 1:30 p.m. – Drummondville, QC: An important infrastructure announcement with Marc Miller, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; and Alexandre Cusson, Mayor of Drummondville.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Sault Ste. Marie, ON: Terry Sheehan, Member of Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie, will make a significant FedNor announcement on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor. The announcement will support local efforts to stimulate economic growth, diversify the economy and strengthen the labour force.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Gaspé, QC: The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Member of Parliament for Gaspésie–Les-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Minister of National Revenue, will announce financial support for Eocycle Technologies, Plaquettes de frein B.B., Econergie GPmm, O’Dwyer Micro-Distillerie Gaspésienne, Chantier Naval Forillon, Travaux sur cordes Suspendem, Les Produits Tapp, Hôtel Baker, ML6 and Microbrasserie Cap Gaspé.
  • 2:45 p.m. – Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC: The Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, will be in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, tomorrow to promote the Canada-China Year of Tourism. Minister Chagger’s speech will be followed by three presentations about how Canadian tourism businesses can best prepare to welcome tourists from China. As part of the Canada-China Year of Tourism, the Government of Canada is committed to supporting tourism businesses in their preparations to attract and accommodate tourists from China.

  • 8:45 a.m. – Brussels, Belgium: The Prime Minister will participate in a meeting of the North Atlantic Council with Georgia and Ukraine.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Brussels, Belgium: The Prime Minister will participate in a meeting of the North Atlantic Council with Operation Resolute Support Partner Nations and Potential Partner Nations.‎
  • 1:30 p.m. – Brussels, Belgium: The Prime Minister will hold a media availability.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Brussels, Belgium: The Prime Minister will have an audience with His Majesty King Philippe, King of the Belgians.
