  • 11:00 a.m. – Winnipeg, MB: The Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of Natural Resources, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will announce funding through the Connecting Canadians program to provide high-speed Internet service to Canadians living in rural and remote communities.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Steady Brook, NL: The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, announced today that he will host an Atlantic Growth Strategy meeting. Premier Ball will be joined by the Honourable Stephen McNeil, Premier of Nova Scotia; the Honourable Wade MacLauchlan, Premier of Prince Edward Island; the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency; the Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board; the Honourable Ahmed D. Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship; the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard; the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food; and the Honourable Roger Melanson, President of the Treasury Board and Minister responsible for Trade Policy, Government of New Brunswick.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Montreal, QC: The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport—on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development—along with Hélène David, Quebec Minister of Higher Education, and Kathleen Weil, Quebec Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness, will be at Concordia University to announce post-secondary infrastructure funding.
  • 8:00 p.m. – Moncton, NB: The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will attend the opening ceremony of the 2017 Canadian Francophone Games.
