Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 9:00 a.m. – Sept-Îles, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will tour the site of the Uashat Regional Centre for Adult Education.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Thunder Bay, ON: The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will announce how the Government of Canada is making it easier for more Canadians to get training reducing barriers to training in the skilled trades.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Prince George, BC: Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, will take part in the 16th Annual British Columbia Natural Resources Forum. Minister Sohi will make a forestry announcement.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Prince George, BC: Gary Anandasangaree, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism (Multiculturalism), will tour The Exploration Place Museum and Science Centre.
  • 9:45 a.m. – Prince George, BC: Gary Anandasangaree, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism (Multiculturalism), will meet with arts and culture stakeholders at The Exploration Place Museum and Science Centre.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Hawkeswbury, ON: The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, will make an announcement regarding official languages in Eastern Ontario communities.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Vancouver, BC: The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, PC, QC, MP, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will Tour of the Chinese Canadian Military Museum’s Forgotten Indigenous War Veterans Exhibit and meeting with Veterans.
  • 10:15 a.m. – Sept-Îles, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will meet with stakeholders to discuss Route 138.
  • 10:15 a.m. – Montreal, QC: The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada, will make a green infrastructure announcement at the Montreal Auto Show.

  • 10:45 a.m. – Prince George, BC: Gary Anandasangaree, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism (Multiculturalism), will visit Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.
  • 11:00 a.m. – St. John, NB: Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John-Rothesay, will announce support for Mariner Partners, Inc. to help develop a new product for the Communications Service Provider (CSP) industry.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Abbotsford, BC: Jati Sidhu, Member of Parliament for Mission — Matsqui — Fraser Canyon, will make a National Crime Prevention Strategy (NCPS) funding announcement.
  • 11:15 a.m. – Prince George, BC: Gary Anandasangaree, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism (Multiculturalism), will tour the First Nations Centre at the University of Northern British Columbia.
  • 11:30 a.m. – Depot-Forbes, QC: Dan Vandal, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services, will announce funding for two community infrastructure projects in Barriere Lake Algonquin Territory.
  • 11:45 a.m. – Sept-Îles, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will address the Sept-Îles Chamber of Commerce.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Cavendish, PEI: The Honourable Wayne Easter will join the Honourable Chris Palmer, PEI Minister for Economic Development and Tourism, along with members of the Resort Municipality of Stanley Bridge, Hope River, Bayview, Cavendish and North Rustico for an important tourism announcement.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Sept-Îles, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will tour the site of Cégep de Sept-Îles.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Montréal, QC: Minister McKenna will deliver the keynote speech and participate in an armchair discussion on the topic “Clear Choices: Canada’s Fight Against Climate Change” at an event hosted by the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations.
  • 1:00 p.m. – St-Isidore, ON: Francis Drouin, Member of Parliament for Glengarry—Prescott—Russell will be at Chicken Little Farm to announce federal investments to boost innovation in Canadian soybean, oats and corn production.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Guelph, ON: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will tour the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Vancouver, BC: The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, PC, QC, MP, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will make a Veterans Well-Being Fund announcement.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Squamish Nation, West Vancouver, BC: The Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Indigenous Services, alongside the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, the Honourable Rob Fleming, British Columbia Minister of Education, and Tyrone McNeil, President of the First Nations Education Steering Committee, will celebrate the signing of the British Columbia Tripartite Education Agreement.
  • 1:45 p.m. – Montreal, QC: The Honourable Marc Garneau, Member of Parliament for Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Westmount and Minister of Transport, invites innovative Quebec start-ups to take part in the CED Fast Forward Challenge.
  • 1:45 p.m. – Prince George, BC: Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, will take part in the 16th Annual British Columbia Natural Resources Forum. Minister Sohi will participate in a fireside chat, discussing how resource development, clean growth and renewing the relationship with Indigenous peoples can help grow our economy and communities and ensure the success of our natural resource sectors.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Longueuil, QC: Sherry Romanado, Member of Parliament for Longueuil — Charles-LeMoyne, will make a funding announcement under the National Crime Prevention Strategy (NCPS) to the City of Longueuil.
  • 2:15 p.m. – Scarborough, ON: The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, will meet with small business owners and entrepreneurs and highlight the government’s reduced small business tax rate and other federal supports that help small businesses start up, scale up and access new markets.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Kitchener, ON: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will tour the Rockway Centre.
  • 3:00 p.m. – Vancouver, BC: The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, PC, QC, MP, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will host a Veterans Roundtable at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 177.
  • 4:00 p.m. – Kitchener, ON: The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors, will tour Trinity Village Studios.
  • 4:15 p.m. – Scarborough, ON: The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, will participate in a Filipino Small Business Community Fireside Chat.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Abbotsford, BC: Jati Sidhu, Member of Parliament for Mission—Matsqui—Fraser Canyon, will be at the BC Agriculture Gala to announce a federal investment that will improve Canada’s agricultural workforce management.

  • 9:15 a.m. – La Loche, SK: The Prime Minister will make an announcement and hold a media availability. Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Ralph Goodale will be in attendance.
