Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 7:00 p.m. – St. Catharines, ON: The Prime Minister will participate in a town hall Q&A.
  • 7:20 a.m. – Montreal, QC: The Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Women and Gender Equality, and the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, will participate in a panel discussion on the future of women’s entrepreneurship and the full economic participation of women. They will be joined by Sévrine Labelle, CEO of Femmessor, and Déborah Cherenfant, founder of Mots d’Elles.
  • 8:30 a.m. – Mississauga, ON: Omar Alghabra, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade Diversification, will deliver remarks at the Mississauga Board of Trade Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement Forum.
  • 8:30 a.m. – Saskatoon, SK: Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will be at CropSphere to announce federal investments to boost Canadian field crops production and innovation.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Afton, NS: Marco Mendicino, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, will attend the official opening of the Highway 104 Paqtnkek Interchange Project with Cape-Breton – Canso MP Rodger Cuzner and Central Nova MP Sean Fraser.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Sainte-Eulalie, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will make an important infrastructure announcement in Sainte-Eulalie along with Andrée Laforest, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing
  • 9:30 a.m. – Boucherville, QC: The Honourable Marc Garneau, Member of Parliament for Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Westmount and Minister of Transport, will announce funding for Porcupine Canvas Manufacturing.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Laval, QC: The Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, will discuss how the Government of Canada is improving the Canada Child Benefit to better help middleclass families and those working hard to join the middle class.
  • 9:30 a.m. – Victoriaville, QC: The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Member of Parliament for Honoré-Mercier and Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will announce funding for the Alléghanish des Bois-Francs snowmobile club, which maintains over 200 kilometers of trails in the Arthabaska RCM in the Centre-du-Québec region and the Des Sources RCM in the Cantons-de-l’Est region.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Halifax, NS: Adam Vaughan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, will highlight how the Government of Canada improves the lives of Canadians by supporting the middle class and those working hard to join it.
  • 10:15 a.m. – Cookshire-Eaton, QC: The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, will participate in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development. This will be an opportunity for Minister Joly to hear about the region’s tourism opportunities.
  • 10:30 a.m. – Antigonish, NS: Marco Mendicino, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, will tour the Xaverian Commons project site with Central Nova MP Sean Fraser.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Birch Island, ON: Paul Lefebvre, Member of Parliament for Sudbury will make an important FedNor announcement to support business development and growth, while creating middle-class jobs in the Manitoulin region.
  • 11:00 a.m. – Edmonton, AB: Randy Boissonnault, Member of Parliament (Edmonton Centre), will announce funding for the Theatre Network Society.
  • 11:30 a.m. – Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, QC: Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, will announce financial support for the Club de Moto-Neige Adidou Rive Sud Inc.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Victoriaville, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will address the Victoriaville Chamber of Commerce
  • 12:30 p.m. – Saint-Hyacinthe, QC: The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, MP for University—Rosedale and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with Chantal Soucy, MNA for Saint-Hyacinthe, will announce funding for Dose Juice Inc., Simleader, Produits Metchro Inc., ElCargo Fabrication Inc. and PrevTech Innovations Inc., five businesses based in SaintHyacinthe.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Meteghan, NS: Colin Fraser, Member of Parliament for West Nova, will make an official announcement supporting Nova Scotia’s seafood industry.
  • 1:30 p.m. – Regina, SK: The Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Regina as he delivers a public address on “National Security Tools and Architecture for a Changing and Difficult World”.
  • 1:30 p.m. – St-Benoît-du-Lac, QC: The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development, and Jean-Claude Poissant, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will make a federal funding announcement in support of the dairy processing sector.
  • 1:30 p.m. – Antigonish, NS: Marco Mendicino, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, will tour the East Coast Credit Union Social Enterprise Centre with Central Nova MP Sean Fraser.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Charlottetown, PEI: An important announcement with the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, the Honourable Wade MacLauchlan, Premier of Prince Edward Island and Minister Responsible for Aboriginal Affairs, Matilda Ramjattan, Chief of Lennox Island First Nation, and Councillor Jacob Jadis of Abegweit Mi’kmaw First Nation.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Yellowknife, NWT: Marc Miller, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Member of Parliament (Ville-Marie–Le Sud-Ouest–Île-des-Soeurs), will make an announcement; joining him will be Bobby Drygeese, Chair of the Det’on Cho Corporation and member of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Lavaltrie, QC: The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will make an announcement at the Café culturel de la Chasse-galerie.
  • 2:15 p.m. – Antigonish, NS: Marco Mendicino, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, will participate in a roundtable with Northumberland Shore small business owners and community leaders. 
  • 2:15 p.m. – Victoriaville, QC: The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities and Member of Parliament for Saint-Maurice–Champlain, together with Éric Lefebvre, Member of the National Assembly for Arthabaska, will announce funding for Victoriaville & Co. Inc., Groupe A.B.L. Inc., Métallomax Inc., Vic Store Fixtures Inc. and G.G. Telecom, five businesses in Victoriaville and the surrounding region.
  • 3:15 p.m. – Victoriaville, QC: Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne will announce an important infrastructure upgrade to Victoriaville’s wastewater treatment equipment
  • 3:30 p.m. – Louiseville, QC: The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will announce funding for the Club Motoneige Armony Inc. and the Club de motoneige Mastigouche Inc.
  • 3:30 p.m. – L’Étang-du-Nord, QC: Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, along with the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of National Revenue and MP for Gaspésie—Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, will meet with local fishing industry stakeholders and discuss priorities to support the local economy and the archipelago’s way of life.
  • 8:00 p.m. – Montreal, QC: Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan and Parliamentary Secretary Cormier to visit Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal Regiment.

Prime Minister’s Itinerary

  • 1:25 p.m. – Markham, ON: The Prime Minister will participate in a Thai Pongal celebration, and will deliver brief remarks.
  • 7:00 p.m. – St. Catharines, ON: The Prime Minister will participate in a town hall Q&A.
