Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 10:00 a.m. – Winnipeg, MB: The Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Women and Gender Equality, will make an important announcement regarding Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
  • 10:15 a.m. – Guelph, ON: Minister of Finance Bill Morneau will be at the University of Guelph to participate in a town hall discussion with students on the Government’s plan to create more opportunities for young Canadians to succeed and an economy that works for everyone.
  • 11:30 a.m. – Shippigan, NB: The Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, and the Minister of Transport, the Honourable Marc Garneau, and the Member of Parliament for Acadie—Bathurst, Serge Cormier, will make an announcement related to the improved measures to protect the North Atlantic Right Whales for the 2019 season.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Atholville, NB: The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will announce how the Government of Canada is making it easier for more young Canadians to develop skills and get hands-on work experience.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: To further the aims of the Feminist International Assistance Policy and respond to the need for increased funding for LGBTQ2I issues and representative organizations, the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development, and Randy Boissonnault, Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on LGBTQ2 issues, will make a funding announcement to advance LGBTQ2I human rights.

  • 10:45 a.m. The Prime Minister will tour the Maple GO train station and deliver remarks to highlight the regional transit expansion project.

Toronto, Ontario

  • 7:00 p.m. The Prime Minister will participate in an armchair discussion with Toronto Region Board of Trade President Janet De Silva as part of the Toronto Region Board of Trade Annual Dinner. Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion Mary Ng, Minister of Science and Sport Kirsty Duncan, and Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Ahmed Hussen will be in attendance.
