Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 9:00 a.m. – Halifax, NS: The Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification, will discuss new opportunities created by Canada’s free trade agreements at an event in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This event, co-hosted with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Nova Scotia Business Inc., will be an opportunity for Minister Carr to showcase how Canada’s free trade agreements and trade diversification strategy can help Canadian businesses, entrepreneurs and current and would-be exporters expand into dynamic markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

    1:00 p.m. – Fredericton, NB: Thomas J. Harvey, Member of Parliament for Tobique–Mactaquac, will highlight how the Government of Canada is moving forward on its commitment to work in partnership with provinces and territories, communities and other stakeholders from the private and not-for-profit sectors to prevent and reduce homelessness.

    3:30 p.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Natural Resources Canada, will participate in an armchair discussion with Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, to discuss Canada’s energy sector and its role in the global transition to a cleaner economy and future.
