Parliament Hill Calendar: Events and Ministers’ Schedules

  • 10:00 a.m. – Kingston, ON: An important infrastructure event with Mark Gerretsen, Member of Parliament for Kingston and the Islands, on behalf of the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; and His Worship Bryan Paterson, Mayor of the City of Kingston.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Saint-Eustache, QC: Linda Lapointe, Member of Parliament for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, will announce financial support for Groupe AESP, which specializes in the design and manufacture of steel structures, guardrails, stairways, metalwork and structural metal.
  • 10:00 a.m. – Sydney, NS: Mark Eyking, Member of Parliament (Sydney–Victoria), on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will make an announcement about the Celtic Colours International Festival.
  • 11:15 a.m. – Montreal, QC: The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, will make an important announcement related to It’s Time: Canada’s Strategy to Prevent and Address Gender-Based Violence at the Maison Parent-Roback, on behalf of the Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Status of Women.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Vancouver, BC: Gordie Hogg, MP for South Surrey—White Rock, will visit the University of British Columbia to highlight a recent investment in gambling addiction research, tour its research facilities, and meet with health researchers.
  • 1:00 p.m. – New York, NY: Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, is on a visit to New York City—on February 20 and 21, 2018—to engage business leaders, UN officials, and students, in discussions on collaborative climate solutions and clean growth. During her visit and as part of her Climate Campus tour, Minister McKenna will be taking part in a student town hall at Columbia University to discuss Canada’s leadership and climate action at home and abroad and to hear from students about solutions to tackle climate change.
  • 2:00 p.m. – Carleton-sur-Mer, QC: MP Rémi Massé, Avignon–La Mitis–Matane–Matapédia, on behalf of the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, and on behalf of the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, will be making a major announcement regarding the Carleton-sur-Mer wharf.
  • 4:15 p.m. – Victoriaville, QC: The Parliamentary Secretary to the federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Mr. Jean-Claude Poissant, will be at the Colloque Bio pour tous! to make a funding announcement in support of the Canadian organic industry, regarding the 2020 Canadian Organic Standards review.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Niagara Falls, ON: Member of Parliament, Vance Badawey will make an announcement in support of Canada’s fruit and vegetable sector.

  • 9:30 a.m. – New Delhi, India – The Prime Minister and Ms. Grégoire Trudeau will visit the Jama Masjid Mosque.
  • 10:00 a.m. – New Delhi, India – The Prime Minister and Ms. Grégoire Trudeau will visit the Sacred Heart Church.
  • 11:30 a.m. – New Delhi, India – The Prime Minister and Ms. Grégoire Trudeau will visit a cricket pitch.
  • 3:00 p.m. – New Delhi, India – The Prime Minister will deliver remarks at the Canada-India Business Summit.
