Parliament Hill Calendar: Ministers’ Schedules and Events

• 10:00 a.m. – Calgary, AB: The Honourable Kent Hehr, Member of Parliament (Calgary Centre), will announce support for the National Music Centre.
• 10:30 a.m. – London, ON: Member of Parliament for London North Centre, Peter Fragiskatos, will announce through the Build in Canada Innovation Program, that the Government of Canada is investing in a new technology.
• 10:30 a.m. – London, ON: Parliamentary Secretary to Science and Member of Parliament for London West, Kate Young, will make an funding announcement supporting researchers at Western University. This investment will provide innovators with essential tools and facilities required for future ground-breaking discoveries.
• 11:30 a.m. – Atikokan, ON: Don Rusnak, Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Rainy River, will make an important announcement in support of business development and growth related to funding from FedNor, the Government of Canada’s economic development organization for Northern Ontario.
• 12:00 p.m. – Truro, NS: Member of Parliament Bill Casey (Cumberland–Colchester), will make a funding announcement on Thursday about the Marigold Cultural Centre/Cobequid Arts Council.
• 12:15 p.m. – Vancouver, BC: The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, will participate in a round-table meeting on climate change and clean growth with members of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
• 3:00 p.m. – Rainy River, ON: Infrastructure event regarding the Rainy River – Baudette International Bridge replacement with Don Rusnak, Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Rainy River.
• On August 23-24, Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan will travel to Rankin Inlet, Nunavut to observe an Operation NANOOK scenario conducted by Joint Task Force (North).
