Parliament Hill Calendar: Ministers’ Schedules and Events

      • 10:00 a.m. – Ottawa, ON: The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will appear before the Standing Committee on International Trade to discuss Canada’s approach to modernizing NAFTA.

      • 11:00 a.m. – Moncton, NB: The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Member of Parliament for Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Dawn Arnold, Mayor for the City of Moncton will make a funding announcement related to riverfront improvements.

      • 11:00 a.m. – Monetville, ON: On behalf of the Government of Canada, Marc Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt, will make an important announcement regarding the opening of the new Big Chaudière Dam.

      • 12:30 p.m. – Maple Ridge, BC: An important event with Dan Ruimy, Member of Parliament for Pitt Meadows – Maple Ridge, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada, as part of the Government of Canada’s celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Confederation.

      • 3:15 p.m. – Halifax, NS: The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Trade, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will make an announcement about how the Government of Canada will help Atlantic Canadian businesses gain better access global markets and boost exports through market research, export strategy, branding, e-commerce, and digital media. Minister Champagne will be joined by the Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board and Andy Fillmore, Member of Parliament for Halifax.

      • 5:30 p.m. – St. Andrews, NB: Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, and New Brunswick’s Minister of Energy and Resource Development, the Honourable Rick Doucet, will take part in the 2017 Energy and Mines Ministers’ Conference (EMMC), under the theme Towards a Clean Growth in Canada’s Energy and Mines Sectors, and deliver remarks at the Conference banquet reception.
