Parliament Hill Calendar: Ministers’ Schedules and Events

• 9:00 a.m. – Arras, French Republic: The Prime Minister will be presented with a statue by the City of Barrie.
• 9:30 a.m. – Rome, Italy: Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, will participate in the G7 Energy Ministerial Meeting, April 9-10 in Rome, Italy. This meeting is an opportunity to demonstrate Canada’s important contribution to global energy security. While in Rome, Minister Carr will also hold bilateral meetings with key trading partners including Rick Perry, U.S. Secretary of Energy, and Carlo Calenda, Italy’s Minister for Economic Development, to discuss areas of mutual interest. Minister Carr will hold a call-back with Canadian media to discuss his participation at the G7 Energy Ministerial Meeting.
• 11:30 a.m. – Deauville, French Republic: The Prime Minister and Ms. Grégoire Trudeau will arrive in Deauville.
• 12:25 p.m. – Surrey, BC: The Honourable Jane Philpott, Minister of Health, will highlight investments to combat the opioid crisis and to implement the new Canadian Drugs and Substances Strategy following a roundtable discussion with youth and support staff of the Surrey Youth Resource Centres (Newton Location) in Surrey, British Columbia.
• 12:45 p.m. – Courseulles-sur-Mer, French Republic: The Prime Minister will visit the Juno Beach Centre and observe a moment of remembrance at Juno beach.
• 2:30 p.m. – Bény-sur-Mer, French Republic: The Prime Minister and Ms. Grégoire Trudeau will lay flowers and observe a moment of silence at the Cross of Sacrifice.
